Diane Byrne is the Vice President of Program Development and Training for Juniper Communities. She is responsible for design, development and implementation of Juniper University and our signature “Alive in All Seasons” programs which encourage active bodies, engaged minds and fulfilled spirits. She has over 30 years within geriatric services with roles and responsibilities that have included national level corporate-wide development of innovative, comprehensive, programs.
Before joining Juniper, Ms. Byrne was the National Director of Specialty Care and Activities for Atria, where she was responsible for the development, standardization and implementation of dementia and wellness programs for 115 assisted living communities in 22 states. She is the former Executive Director and Board Member of the Alzheimer’s Association South Central Pennsylvania Chapter. Her Alzheimer’s poetry was part of a national exhibit “The Art of Caring” and featured on NPR. She has consulted in the development of award-winning collateral materials and lectured at various national conferences including the National Alzheimer’s Educational Conference.
Ms. Byrne will share her incredible wealth of knowledge and experience via her blog posts. Her writings will be wide ranging at times, but with an overall theme of dementia capable caregiving.
